Yes. I deliberately shot some bad cell phone pics so nobody could see exactly how I did this.

Interrupt the read cycle using some low tech to defeat some hi-tech. Ghost the firmware image.
Implications: My first gen sata connection may have some limitations but I’m getting 180Mbs data rate.
Forget HDMI out, when I get this USB ribbon cable properly configured I can eliminate the memory card altogether and record straight onto an eSATA device.
With this Panasonic PCcard that I have I can crack any firmware code as long as there is a USB interface. I don’t know anything about RAW video but this would seem to be the direction to go in since I’m sure any kind of Motion JPEG needs some kind of of compression by the image processor. Quick math calc tells me RAW YUV or uncompressed RGB streaming would need 10-15MB per frame.  I may have to get another GH1 because I have a feeling that MPJEG could really be pushed up into the 150Mbs+ bandwidth once the memory stick recording has been bypassed.
